Toby Glenn, Matt from MMAInsideWeekly.com and Steve Cujo discuss UFC 78 Validation. In are discussion we evaluate the UFC’s production and how we did in our picks for the fights. In part one of our recap we go over the fights of that fight card. We start with Akihiro Gono Vs. Tamden McCrory a fight were Gono got the victory and Toby was the only one to pick him in the group. Then we go over the Luke Caudillo Vs. Marcus Aurelio fight. Afterwards, we evaluate the Chris Lytle Vs. Thiago Alves where Matt got a gift because in Toby’s opinion that fight was stopped early. Then we go over the Jason Reinhardt Vs. Joe Lauzon and we relate the way the fight played out to the interview we did with Jason before the fight. The next fight was Toby’s favorite because Frank Edgar did exactly what Toby said he would against Spencer Fisher. Lastly we discuss Ryo Chonan Vs. Karo Parisyan and what is next in both of their carriers.

There was a four man tournament in StrikeForce last weekend.
Trevor Prangley fought against Falaniko Vitale in the first round. That fight was stopped because of a scratch to the eye of Vitale. Jorge Santiago then fought a replacement for Yuki Sasaki. That replacement was Sean Salmon. Santiago got a quick victory. On the show Toby and Matt from MMAInsideWeekly discuss our prefight picks and how the tournament unfolded. Then we talk about Luke Stewart vs. Bryson Kamaka and the Bobby Southworth vs. Anthony Ruiz fights. Afterwards, We go into detail about the Cung Le vs. Sam Morgan fight and the heavyweight title fight of Paul Buentello vs. Alistair Overeem.

Toby Glenn and Bobby Friend talk to Jeff Adler of American Fighter/Damage Wear Inc. Jeff gave us an understanding of where he comes from and how he started Damage Wear and American Fighter. We spend quite a bit of time also discussing Rich Franklin who is of course a close friend of Jeff Adler. He talks about starting out with Rich and Rich’s part in American Fighter’s success. He also talks about a potential tv show featuring Rich that he is in talks with networks about putting on the air. Jeff is a great guy and he explains quite a bit about what it is like being one of the larger MMA sponsors. He also discusses the new management services and other offerings from American Fighter. Then Tim and Noah Thomas interview Mikey Burnett. Mikey talks about teaching fighters and still learning even at his experience level. Mikey always delivers so much incite into the fight game. Noah Thomas also weighs in and shows his knowledge of the sport.

He got nothing for his appearance even after cutting the weight and showing up to the venue. I then talked to him about his future in the WEC and what he thinks about the WEC and Zuffa. Alex has had some amazing fights in the past and I can’t wait to see what he does in the future. Tim, Matt, and Noah Thomas interview Benji Radach. Benji will be fighting IFL Grand Prix. He was about to be going to corner Dennis Hallman at StrikeForce.
